In a world where we are becoming ever more so reliant upon computers, the need for elite cyber security professionals has become ever more apparent. Crimson Defense seeks to empower college students at the University of Alabama with the tools and confidence to learn critical cyber security skills before they enter the workforce. Club membership is open to any student at the University of Alabama.

Some previous topics we have studied include denial of service attacks, malware analysis, nmap scans, SQL injection, phishing, and cryptography. We also host professional development meetings where representatives from companies in both the public and private sectors come to share their experiences, their work culture, and share upcoming internships and job openings.
