Crimson Defense: The University of Alabama's Cyber Security Club

In a world where we are becoming ever more so reliant upon computers, the need for elite cyber security professionals has become ever more apparent. Crimson Defense seeks to empower college students at the University of Alabama with the tools and confidence to learn critical cyber security skills before they enter the workforce. Club membership is open to any student at the University of Alabama.

Club Meeting Schedule

Crimson Defense General Interest meetings are every Wednesday at 6pm in The Tom Bevill Building Room 0009..

Some previous topics we have studied include denial of service attacks, malware analysis, nmap scans, SQL injection, phishing, and cryptography. We also host professional development meetings where representatives from companies in both the public and private sectors come to share their experiences, their work culture, and share upcoming internships and job openings. Our Competition Team meets every other Tuesday at 6 pm in the Tom Bevill Building Room 0009.

Crimson Defense's Competition Team competes in national cyber security competitions every semester. Join if you want to gain experience in cyber security skills!

Project Crimson meets every Thursday at 6 pm-7 pm in the Cyber Lab (Bevill 1066).

Project Crimson is perfect for both inexperienced and experienced club members who want to learn more about any topic in cyber security!
